Rakhine extremists destroy vegetable farms of Rohingyas in Baggona, Maungdaw

Maungdaw, Arakan – Kaye Myaing Natala Rakhine villagers came to Baggona village tract in Maungdaw Township of Arakan State and destroyed the vegetable farms belonging to Rohingyas.
This morning, a group of about 50 Rakhine extremists Kaye Myaing Natala village who were holding sticks and swords came into the eastern part of Baggona village. They destroyed the vegetable farms belonging to Rohingyas. They beat and tortured any Rohingyas that they found in front of them.
As Rohingyas want to avoid any conflict with Rakhines they went straight to the police outpost situated on Baggona road and informed the attacks. The police didn’t take any action against the attackers nor made any investigation.
The Rakhine extremists from Kaye Myaing village have been doing this frequently according to local villagers. The Rohingyas are worried that this attack could lead to a problem between Kaye Myaing Rakhine villagers and Rohingya villagers in Baggona.
