14 Myanmar citizens held in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Apr 24 (bdnews24.com) -- Members of the Detective Branch (DB) have arrested 14 Myanmar citizens from the capital.
Deputy commissioner (south) Monirul Islam at a press meet at the agency's office on Sunday said, "We arrested 16 people, including two Bangladeshi nationals, form Fakirapul on Saturday evening."
They were trying to leave the country with Bangladeshi passports.
The arrestees are Mohammad Yunus, 41, Abdul Khddus alias Nurul Haq, 52, Abdur Rahman, 22, 'Abdullah', 31, Mohammad Saked, 20, Anisur Rahman, 20, Kefayet Ullah, 20, Muhammad Anwar, 18, Zahed Hossain, 37, Abdul Motaleb, 35, Tayeb Nur, 20, Nur Mohammad, 38, 'Arafat', 18, Abul Mia aka Abdul Gafur, 18, and Nur Mohammad, 20.
Among them, Yunus and Kuddus are Bangladeshi nationals who produced fake identities of the others.
Islam told reporters: "They planned to fly abroad mainly to the Middle East by collecting fake passports with the help of 'professional' forgers."
He alleged they were involved in crimes in the guise of Bangladeshi citizens.
